Birthday party games are always one of the highlights of a party. Whether you compete for prizes, or just to have fun, kids really get into the games. The following are a few festive game ideas for birthday parties for girls.

1. Pin the Tiara on the Princess. This is a customized version of the classic game of pin the tail on the donkey. Of course, you do not have to have it be Pin the tiara on the princess, it could be pin the "whatever" on the "whatever", you just choose your theme, and make a pin game to go with it. It might be Pin the wand on the fairy hand, or pin the bee on the flower, or something else. To do this game, just get a large poster board, and either print, or draw your own princess, fairy, etc. Then print a playing piece for each guest, and write their name on it, so that at the end you can determine who was the closest. If you play something like pin the tiara on the princess, the prize could be a tiara for the winner.

2. Who am I? This is a game that girls will love, but only if they are old enough to understand it. It is best to play it with ages 5 and above. For this game you are going to give each girl a picture when they enter, only you aren't going to let them see it, you are going to tape it to the back of their shirt. They then have the rest of the party to figure out who they are, by asking other guests questions. The catch is, they only get one question per guest. So, if you are having a princess themed party, you might have all of the Disney princesses as the pictures. Then the girls might ask questions like, "Do I know 7 dwarfs?" or "Did I lose a glass slipper." They will have fun figuring out who they are.

3. Unicorn Hair Race Games. If there are several guests at your birthday party, one great game is anything that is a relay or a race. So, what you are going to want to do for this game is divide the guests into two even teams. Then, provide each guest with a piece of streamer. The streamers are going to be the unicorn's hair. You will have a poster board for each team that has the head of a unicorn drawn or printed on it, but no hair. The teams have to line up, and on your mark, a girl from each team must race to attach the unicorn's hair. The next person on the team can't go until the girl is back to the starting line. It is a relay, and the first team to give the unicorn hair wins.
