There are a number of different packages you can use like over-sized lunch bags, Chinese food boxes, clear mini bags, etc. Head to the dollar store to search for items that you can add to the birthday treat bag. Some specialty shops offer preprinted birthday gift bags you can use to hand out. These bags are made of cellophane and then you can have all of the kids decorate the bags with their own stickers and other things that can make it a bit more personal for them. Choose a few different items for the kids to pick to put inside their bags. This is a lot of fun for them as the gift bag is turned into a game at the party so it adds more of a personalized touch to the gift bag.
When you are creating birthday treat bags, take your child to the store with you. It is their party after all so they need to be able pick out the items they want to give their friends. Depending upon how you want the gift bags to be distributed you can choose to fill them up before the party and tie them together with some twist ties and ribbons. Have your children help pass out the bags before they leave the party to thank their friends for coming to the party. Some people like to add a small note to their gift bags as a thank-you for their friends, but most people just stick with a few simple treats and unique gifts to offer to their friends.
Before putting together the gift bags, you may need to check with some of the parents of the children in case they are diabetic. You definitely don’t want to offer them some sugary treats in the gift bag. You can find some great sugar-free treats for kids to add to the gift bags if you don’t want to send them home with a bagful of sugary candies that will upset their parents. It is also important to find out if they have any food allergies and other health problems. This is why you want to opt for small toys and other things instead of candy for all the gift bags.
