Little girls are a lot of fun at birthday parties, but it is nice to have some fun games prepared for them to play. If you have games to keep them occupied, and delicious cake for them to eat, your party will be a success. Here are some great ideas for birthday party games specifically made for girls:
1. Fairy freeze tag. This is a great game for young girls especially. These are the ones who are in the princess and fairies stage. It is a classic game of freeze tag, only you take time before the game to make fairy wands. The person who is “it” uses their wand to freeze people. The only thing worth remembering on this game is that wands are sticks, and you don’t want to poke someone’s eye out. The girls will be squealing with laughter, and the party will certainly be a success.
2. Limbo. A great game for girls of all ages is that of limbo. It is your classic party game, but you can give it a little twist to make it more girly by having them wear princess dresses while playing. This makes it a bit more difficult, and a lot more fun. The girls will laugh, hems will be stepped on, and all in all you will have a lot of fun. Just don’t forget to put together a great play list to use as the background music for this gun party game.
3. Musical thrones. One excellent game for every princess birthday party is musical thrones. It is played just like musical chairs, only before you play, have each girl decorate a chair to make it their throne. Play some music, and stop it at intervals so that the girls have to make a mad dash for the chairs. You always have one less chair than player, so you eliminate someone each round. At the end of the game, the winner is crowned the true princess, and gets to sit on her throne for the duration of the party!
4. Girl stuff walk. This is a great party game because it takes an old classic, “cake walk” and puts a new spin on it. Girls love make-up, fingernail polish, and jewelry, etc. So, for this game, lay out the numbers, and have the girls walk around the numbers until the music stops. Then draw a number out of a hat. Whomever is on that number when the music stopped gets to choose an item. The items, instead of cakes, can be things like fingernail polish, blush, mascara, necklaces, earrings, etc. It is a fun game, and takes care of the party favors, all at the same time.
Party games will help make your party a success, so choose a theme for your party, and take some of the classic games played and parties, and customize them to fit your theme.
