No matter what age a kid is, or what they claim to be into, boys are all the same at heart. They love action, adventure, and anything that can stimulate the mind and muscles at the same time. Most boys love games that are active. If you are going to have a birthday party for boys, it is a good idea to have games at it that keep them active so that they can burn off some of the excess energy that kids seem to have. Here are a few birthday party games for boys:
Darts. You can pick up dart-boards at a dollar store that use plastic darts, and suction cups. Set them up, and give the boys their darts. Then let them throw each of their darts, and at the end, add up how many points they have, and reward the winner with a prize. This game is fantastic because it gives them a great activity, and the boys can take the dart boards home as party favors. If you use the suction cup darts, you do not have to worry about things like holes in the walls from sharp pointed darts.
Pin the mask on the super hero. This is a rendition of pin the tail on the donkey. It is a game where you get a picture of your boy’s favorite super hero, and then give each child a paper mask. You put a blind fold on them, and spin them around a few times, then let them try and put the mask on the right place. The winner gets a prize. Just be careful to write the names on each mask so that you can be certain of whose mask ended up in the best place.
Remote control car races. One really fun game for boys of all ages, even the biggest boys, is remote control car races. You can usually pick up some remote control cars for fairly inexpensive, so give each boy a chance to race the other boys, and let the winner of the pack choose a remote control car to take home. This game is a great game because it gives you a game, and gifts for the birthday boy at the same time.
Birthday party games for boys are not always easy to come up with. Whatever you are going to do, just make sure that you choose an active game. Choose a party theme, and take some of the old time party games and apply the theme to them. For example, if your theme is cars, play pin the wheel on the car. If your theme is farm animals, you can play farm animal sound chairs, which is like musical chairs, but instead of playing music, use farm animal sounds, etc.
The point is, birthday party games are a big part of the fun of a birthday party, so think of your child’s favorite activity, and make a game that has something to do with it.
