Celebrating your birthday should be one of the happiest days of your life each year. Some people love to make a big deal out of their birthdays and they will throw a huge birthday bash and hand out birthday treat bags to all of their guests. Other people like to host intimate parties with just their family and a few close friends. No matter what, offering birthday treat bags are a lot of fun to thank your friends and loved ones for their love and support. Here are a few different birthday treat bag ideas you can use to make the most out of your next birthday:
1. Themed bags. Are you hosting a particular type of birthday party? Maybe you are doing a luau or you are hosting a Harry Potter birthday party. No matter what the theme may be, try to have the gift bag represent that theme. Your party guests should head home with the party bag excited to show their family and it should be something that they can hang onto for awhile. Durable items are always better than food as the durable items can be reused for years to come where the treats will be consumed quickly.
2. Game bags. Does your child love to play games? Have you noticed them sitting around playing board games with their friends? You can get small game boards to offer as gifts to their friends. These board games usually include chess and checkers but you can find them in other game options as well. Look at your local Dollar store to find the small board games. Dollar stores are great because they usually have a variety of games to choose from. You can even find cellophane bags that have game decorations on the outside which will work perfectly for the theme of your gift bag. Even including a simple card game in the gift bag will leave an impression upon the gift bag recipient as they will see that you really did put some time and thought into the gift bag instead of just giving them a candy bar.
3. The candy bag. If you really want to pass out candy bags, you need to be mindful of all the guests that will be at the party. Will some of their parents disapprove of a bunch of candy being sent home? Even if you want to give them candy, try to balance out the contents of the bag with some other things like bubbles, toys, and balls. Some kids have food allergies so you need to be careful about foods with peanut butter and some other things that can cause problems. Most parents will let you know if their child does have a food allergy or another problem like hypoglycemia or diabetes. This way you can be prepared with the right foods in case there is a problem. For all the other kids, have them help you with the candy bags by decorating them and decorating things to go inside of them like a cupcake or Rice Krispy treats. Look for some sugar-free food options so you aren’t sending the children home with a bag loaded with sugar.
4. The craft bag. Some kids absolutely love to craft. Instead of buying a cellophane bag, why not let your party guests create their own gift bag using some felt and other fabrics. Be sure to stitch the bags together before they get there so they can focus on cutting the fabric and spelling out their names on the bag. This is a fun way to create a unique birthday treat bag and then you can fill it full of tasty treats and unique prizes.
